Barog is one of the famous small hill stations which are located in the small hill station in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. This small hill station is one of the ideal tourist destinations which offer magnificent view of natural beauty and its panoramic view of the town that will provide you some cherished moments. The town gets its name after an engineer who was involved in constructing the railway track in the year 1903. Choor Chandni Peak, Barog

Choor Chandni Peak is one of the famous attractions of Barog.Its highest peak is located at a height of 3,650 m above the sea level. This tourist spot is bounded by pine trees and it is also known as the Choordhar Mountains.

Grave Of Barog, Barog

Grave of Barog is another attraction of this hill station which is dedicated to engineer named Barog was responsible for building a tunnel in the town. It is a small grave which has now become a famous tourist attraction. The entire place encompasses a stunning garden.

Dolanji Bon Monastery, Barog

This beautiful tourist destination is located at a distance of 5 km from Barog. It is situated on the Narag-Sarahan road which is also known as the Yungdrung Bon Monastery. This monastery is run by the Yungdrung Bon Monastic Centre. It is another attractive tourist destination which was built by Abbot Lungtog Tenpai Nyima. It was constructed in the year 1969.

Barog's Grave
A small grave where the engineer named Barog was buried is now a tourist spot. The graveyard is maintained like a beautiful garden where tourists can come and enjoy quiet and peaceful moments with unspoilt nature.

Choordhar Mountains
Trekking to Choordhar Mountains with all its pine trees is delightful and provides you with some excellent view. These mountains are 3,650 m high and its peak is known as Choor Chandni Peak because in a moonlit night, it seems as if several silver bangles are sliding down its slope.

Barog Camping Grounds 

Surrounded by pine trees, the camping grounds at Barog is the only registered camping site at a hill station with all the basic amenities in India. It is accessible by car and provides some fantastic views of Solan valley and Choor Chandni hill range. Besides electricity, telephone and bathroom facilities, there is a dance floor, nature trail treks to explore and bonfire facilities available here.

Suketi Fossil Park
Suketi Fossil Park was the first park in Asia that to be situated on the site where the actual fossils were unearthed. Situated at a distance of 21 km from Nahan, this park is sited on the bank of Markanda River.
